#HIT&RUN #AHOLSNIFFSGLUE #DOYOURJOB
On 8/9/12, I went to the opening of Ahol Sniffs Glue's solo art show at Gregg Shienbaum Fine Art. Smooth beats from Metro Zu, and awesome artwork by Ahol, couldn't get any better then that. The show will be running till the 27th, so I encourage everyone who is here in Miami to go check it out, if you haven't already. I dropped some questions to Ahol, just so you all can get the scoop on who Ahol is. Also I only posted a few photos, because everyone should DO THEIR JOB and go check this dudes artwork out, you won't be disappointed.
Q&A with Ahol Sniffs Glue
MSA: So every artist has their beginning, where did it start for you?
AHOL: I use to draw characters and make my civilization of creatures and based them on people around. I was inspired by my friend Gonz and his ex Totals. I then started to get more and more serious about creating. That's pretty much it.
MSA: How long have you been writing/painting?
AHOL: 10+ years, don't remember exactly.
MSA: So it was all over the local news, and we all saw it on Facebook. But tell my followers what happened that night of the Hit & Run accident.
AHOL: I was leaving work on a rainy day on my Honda Ruckus. Some lady wasn't paying attention and she turned into me head on. I ended up under her car, she backed up, pulled up next to me, I asked for help and she said sorry and drove away before I could get her plate. Sux
MSA: What was your main influence that propelled you into the art world?
AHOL: I was inspired by my brother and by Gonz and Totals, creativity is the ultimate. Im glad I pursued it.
MSA: Tell me something about your art style, any significance to those eyes you create?
AHOL: The eyes are the sleepy drugged out eyes from my characters. They are numb from all the shit we are exposed to.
MSA: Any funny stories of being out, bombing with your crew?
AHOL: My friends are awesome, ssk is the best. I love my dogs.
MSA: SSK The Stay Shitty Komitee... How did it form? Who reps it?
AHOL: Ssk is gonz's making, there's a lot of people in it, even people that don't paint. Some people in the crew are gonz, 3i7, disem, audet, elite, stress, kombs, asik, where, Jonas, bruk. I'm sure I'm missing some
MSA: What's your favorite thing about being an artist?
AHOL: I love creating, regardless of what it is. My life has purpose through creativity

Chor Boogie...
I'm sure we are all fans of Chor Boogie's art work. Mixing his technique he learned from other street artist and his influence from other renaissance and also more modern artist, like Van Gogh and Dali just to name a few. This Cali native always shows love to Miami by bringing more color to an already colorful city. This piece was done during Art Basel, and it sure is amazing.

Pluto...
I was going through my pictures and I came across this piece by Pluto, which looks extremely intricate. The lines are so clean, and the colors really pop. An amazing style of shapes for the letters. True skill and dedication went into making this piece, and it payed off.

The New York Wall...
During Art Basel, a lot of people found themselves going from one event to the next. What they did not realize is the real action was in Wynwood. An insane amount of graff writers and street artist had taken over the streets of Wynwood. I was invited by Samuel Mark, an influential artist from New York, to come by and film the wall he was working on. Samuel and a few other artist created an amazing mural that mixed graff and street art. Signifying graff writers and street artist are equal to one another. They do what they do for one reason and that is to occupy as much wall space as possible. If you ever find yourself in Wynwood, I urge you to go check out this amazing wall, located at NW 2nd Ave and 22nd st. To all the artist who participated, Stay Up, Go Big, and Never Quit. Samuel Mark, Fumero, AOM, Abso, Sev,Veks, Velo, Lost, Alec Monopoly, Werds, Eres, Leaf, Json, Meno, and Beaso, you all did an amazing job! (Click the photo's to enlarge)

Fumeroism...
He did it again, and trust me its worth the stop to admire and catch a flick. His style is unlike any other and you can tell he knows exactly what he is doing. He told me himself, "I am a perfectionist" and it shows through his artwork. I have much respect for Fumero and hope all his students understand how lucky they are to learn from a master. I've also included some action shots of my homie at work.
